Extremely Rare 79-80's Lakers Championship Ball (Magic Johnson & Kareem Abdul Jabbar)

If you know anything about professional basketball then you know the Los Angeles Lakers were one of the most dominant teams in the NBA during the late 70's and 80's. The team was made of up greats such as Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul Jabbar. I've seen a lot of great memorabilia from this era, but this one is definitely one of the best. This auction is for a basketball signed by the entire championship team of the 79-80 season. The description in the auction tells a great little story about how the ball was obtained. Here is a little excerpt.

"Extremely Rare 79-80's Lakers Championship Ball signed by the whole Team. The start of the Showtime Era. 1 of maybe only 5 if that. The Staple Center hasn't even seen one before. This was before the days of mass signing. The Laker players weren't even given one. I don't even know if Magic has one. This was given to a friend of mine by his close friend, the Lakers secretary, who took the ball around to every player to get their signatures for her good friend.. Norm Nixon and Jamal Wilkes both who signed the ball both said the same thing to me at different times "Where did you get this, I don't even have one."

As the seller states this ball is truly a rare ball that would be great for any Lakers fan or NBA historian.
